AAUW Chillicothe OH will hear a speaker from the Ross County Sherrif’s Office speak about current scams to watch for.

Heights-Hillcrest-Lyndhurst had a hybrid program in October about Tanzanian history and culture from one millennial African American’s perspective. Komeshia Rose shared insights on the East African slave trade, natural resources, health outcomes, and diplomacy. How is disparity a cultural perception?

Medina County Branch’s October event featured a speaker from the Medina County Board of Developmental Disabilities who discussed their newest project: Committed to Inclusion. Learn about the small ways in which people, businesses, and organizations can take steps to make everyday activities more inclusive for those with different abilities.  In January they will meet at the library to learn about Personal Pronouns and What They Mean with a discussion by Amy Demlow and Sandy Ferdinand Varndell from Out Support will talk about personal pronouns and why they matter as well as other LGBTQ+ topics.

Following their holiday bazaar on November 4, 5, 11, and 12, Middletown Branch will hear speakers on Changes that Affect Mental Health and How to Thrive and in December Working Women: Victories and Challenges.

Westerville Branch’s November program led by Professor Robyn Wilson of OSU was titled, Preparing for a Hotter World. On a lighter note in December, they headlined Our Favorite Books of 2022.

Congratulations to Wooster Branch as it celebrates its centennial year!  In November they tour Wayne County’s connection to the women’s suffrage movement.  Need an idea for a good book? Wooster posts their book discussions for the year here on their website.

Worthington Branch explored Mental Health on Ourselves in early November and on January 14 will pick up Roe vs Wade:  Working Going Forward.

Zanesville Branch cosponsored an October program with the Zanesville Business and Professional Women and the Muskingum Library System, Know Your Ballot, Plan Your Vote
